This California Privacy Notice at Collection (“Notice at Collection”) supplements our AvidXchange Privacy Notice describing the collection, use and disclosure of any personal information by AvidXchange in the conduct of its business, including collection through this website or any other website that AvidXchange may make available to you, by telephone, email or in person, or through any application or product that may link to the Privacy Notice and/or this Notice at Collection.

This Notice at Collection applies to the personal information of individuals who are residents of California, as required under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA”). This Notice at Collection provides key information about how we collect and use personal information. Terms used in this Notice at Collection have the meaning ascribed to them in the CCPA.

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect or use information that directly or indirectly relates to, is capable of being associated with, describes, or could be linked to, an identified or identifiable natural person (“personal information”). The below chart describes the personal information we collect, our purposes for collecting and using it, whether it is sold or shared.

Please note, we do not “sell” (as that term is defined under the CCPA) your personal information; however, we may share certain information with our Affiliates, Service Providers, contractors, Channel Providers, and other third-party vendors as directed by you or in the operations of our business. As used here and in our Privacy Notice, the term (a) “Affiliate” means a company controlling, controlled by or in common control with AvidXchange, Inc.; (b) “Service Provider” means a company that provides technology or business services to AvidXchange; and (c) “Channel Partner” means a company that assists AvidXchange in the marketing and/or distribution of its services.

Retention of Personal Information

The length of time that AvidXchange retains personal information depends upon legal and contractual obligations, the type of personal information, and the nature and duration of your relationship with AvidXchange.

Your Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing

We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration or as that term is traditionally defined. However, we do engage in certain activities related to marketing, advertising and data analytics that could be a “sale” of personal information under the CCPA. You have the right to opt-out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.

You can exercise your right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information clicking the “Do Not Sell/Share My Personal Information” link on the footer of the page or through an opt-out preference signal. If you choose to exercise this right through an opt-out preference signal and we detect such a signal, it will be honored. If you submit a request to opt-out, including through an opt-out preference signal, after you have consented to our sale or sharing of personal information, we will opt you out of any further selling or sharing of personal information.
