Deloitte releases ESG accelerators on Workiva

Big Four firm Deloitte has released four new ESG accelerators on the Workiva platform as an extension of the two organizations’ strategic partnership. The accelerators include an ESG Disclosure Management Tool, an ESG Master Class Conversion Table, a Data Rollforward Chain Accelerator, and an ESG Environmental Inventory Survey. 

ADP updates Accountant Connect

ADP
ADP has announced new features for their now-updated Accountant Connect platform. These include analysis tools, payroll client onboarding, service connections and a certification program. The platform now also boasts integrations and compatibility with FP&A solutions provider Jirav as well as tax compliance software provider Avalara. 

Clarus R+D releases new version of tax platform

Research use
Tax software company Clarus R+D announced the release of a new version of its platform. The new release allows practitioners to provide activities and expenses for all potential R&D incentive-worthy projects, including a four-part test (permitted purpose, technological in nature, elimination of uncertainty and process experimentation). Backend access lets coordinators manage teams while individual members have access to work with specific customers. The software can generate up to 600 reports per annum.

AvidXchange offers straight-through processing

Automation software provider AvidXchange said "straight-through processing" is now available to high-frequency supplier customers paid through the AvidPay Network. STP allows for fully automated pay processes: Once the buyer sends a payment, the funds flow directly to a merchant processor and are then deposited into the user's bank account, accessible via a virtual credit card.

Partnerships and integrations

Tax automation software provider HubSync announced a strategic partnership with Thomson Reuters that will see the two companies provide royalty-free and open access to each of their application programming interfaces, as well as collaborations to further build on their capabilities in automating and modernizing how accounting gets done. … Accounting and payroll solutions provider Patriot Software announced a partnership with fintech company Vestwell. Patriot Software will now be able to offer 401(k) plans to all payroll customers, with exclusive pricing benefits to support employers implementing retirement programs for their employees. … Swedish accounts payable automation software provider Palette Software has, after merging with Centsoft in 2018, become Rillion, which plans to span both the Nordic and U.S. markets. … Fintech company Airwallex has a new bank feed integration with NetSuite developed in partnership with NetSuite solution partner Onlineone. … Accounting integrations provider Amaka said it has acquired Inview, which allows users to manage invoices and bills directly from their calendar or Slack by integrating with all major accounting software. InView will retain its brand and be called Inview by Amaka. 

New hires and appointments

Payment software company Bill.com said Aida Álvarez, former head of the U.S. Small Business Association, has joined the company’s board of directors. … Tax solutions provider Drake Software said it has named Dominic Morea, a fintech veteran, as president and CEO.

Funding

Business management software provider Rippling said it has raised $250 million in Series D funding from existing investors Y Combinator, Sequoia Capital, and more. The round values the company at $11.25 billion. ... Robotics development company Cogniteam said it has raised $5.6 million in Series A funding from Seabarn Management, (Andrew Owens) and U.K.-based Panthera family office members. The funding is to enhance Nimbus, the company’s low-code robotics platform. The company also announced it has been handpicked to co-lead a $20 million human-robot interaction consortium, funded by the Israeli Innovation Authority.
