Senior Director of Vertical Sales & AP automation expert, Kristen “KT” Thomasino has worked on hundreds of automation projects with companies in every industry. With over 11 years of real-life automation experience, Kristen can walk potential customers through every step of the process – starting with the decision of whether or not their company is a good fit for AP automation. She is passionate about helping businesses be successful, having a positive impact on the economy, and looking for opportunities to reduce negative impacts on the environment with her work.
In her time at AvidXchange, Kristen has held a variety of roles and responsibilities: Support, QA, Scrum Master for Development, Product Management, Account Management, New Sales Representative, Partner Manager, Account Management Leader — you name it, she’s done it. Kristen currently leads the Vertical Sales teams for Real Estate, HOA, and Nonprofit markets. The Vertical Sales team at AvidXchange™ works directly with customers and through strong partner relationships to provide a truly consultative approach to fixing businesses.

What has been your biggest accomplishment in your career at AvidXchange™?
Some of my biggest accomplishments at AvidXchange™ include Top Revenue Producing Team Leader for 3+ years and maintaining 98% client retention during my time as Account Management Leader. I’m also proud to be the company’s Top Individual Sales Performer ever, having closed over 40% of AvidXchange™’s original revenue, and the largest deal in company history.
What advice do you have for people that are just starting their careers in sales?
Both discipline and rigor are required to succeed, with the ability to look inward and constantly adapt and change. Never stop learning!
What is the most surprising thing about the payables space during your career?
It’s amazing to me that many companies are unaware that solutions like ours exist! If a company is still receiving paper invoices or paying bills, they’re not capitalizing on today’s best practices. They’re missing out on the unlimited potential for savings after relieving their AP team of time-consuming, manual tasks!
