Software QA/Test Engineer

Salary Range: Base commensurate with experience

Position Location: Charlotte, NC. No relocation

Headquartered in Charlotte, NC, AvidXchange (www.avidxchange.com) is experiencing tremendous growth and is currently seeking individuals to join the Research and Development team. AvidXchange is a leading provider of paperless invoice management and electronic AP management tools for companies with that want to streamline their invoice / accounts payable process over multiple locations, divisions, and business groups. AvidInvoice is AvidXchange's web-based invoice management system that provides financial managers with the ability to receive 100% of their vendor invoices electronically along with visibility to pending invoices, vendor spend analysis reporting, paperless routing approval for invoices, and enforceable controls.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret high-level requirements and specifications to develop, modify, and execute functional, acceptance and regression tests
  • Develop and implement test plans
  • Determine if requirements are clear, concise, testable and meet customer expectations; providing appropriate feedback to the product owner(s) and development team
  • Testing web browser compatibility against applications
  • Test client applications against different versions of Windows
  • Utilize programs or utilities to generate test data
  • Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot technical problems
  • Document and communicate test results with management and developers
  • Document and track defects
  • Ensure all tests are successfully completed and documented and all problems are resolved before end of development and release cycle
  • Adhere to team priorities, ask for help, and work well with others

Requirements:
  • 3-5+ years experience in Software Quality Assurance Testing. Experience testing web applications in an internet environment; transactions-based applications; database applications; or in an e-commerce environment would be preferred.
  • The successful candidate must have strong initiative to drive results. He/she will be a quick learner, be flexible in assignments and schedules, and must be a team player.
  • Experience with the following technologies is a plus: .NET, C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, ADO.NET, SQL Server, .NET Framework, and BizTalk.
  • Bachelors Degree


Other Tasks/Helpful Areas:

  • Version control systems, automated build, automated deployment
  • Building and scaling application architectures
  • Experience in testing applications that handle heavy financial transactions i.e. credit card, billing, order processing, auction sites, e-commerce, etc.
  • Other web experience: JAVAScript, VBScript, ASP, SQL, COM, HTML, CSS
  • Service-Oriented Architecture, Web Services, HTTP/XML
